The successful candidate will work as a Scientist in our Cell Therapy research team, specializing in the development of gene edited T cell therapeutics for application in oncology and autoimmune disorders. As a member of a high-performing team, the candidate will play an integral role in driving the advancement of immunotherapies across our pipeline and in supporting the translation of research efforts into the clinic. The position requires adaptability, creativity, the ability to manage research associate(s), excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a capacity for constant innovation in pursuit of company goals.  ·    Manage and support research studies related to the development of immunotherapy products for cancer and autoimmune disorders

·    Design and coordinate execution of in vitro and in vivo preclinical proof of concept studies

·    Support assay development and method optimization to drive hypothesis-driven interrogation of T cells, i.e. probing mechanism of action of engineered CAR/TCR-T cells in an oncology or autoimmunity context.

·    Generate, analyse and present data on phenotypic/ functional characterization of engineered T cells to drive product development.

·    Work cross-functionally with other research teams and other departments within the company to support product characterization at different stages of development

·    Mentor research associates within the group in areas of technical expertise.

·    Other duties as assigned.




 ·    Ph.D. in Immunology, with 2-5 years of post-grad experience, preferably in industry. A background in cancer immunotherapy or autoimmune disorders is preferred.

·    Solid understanding of T cell biology and comprehensive knowledge of the immunotherapy space related to oncology and autoimmunity.

·    Experience with in vitro assays and ex vivo manipulation of primary T cells (T cell isolation, electroporation). Experience with NK cells/ iPSCs/ HSCs is a plus.

·    Broad knowledge and expertise in cellular interrogation techniques. Experience with cell sorting and demonstrated ability to design and execute multiparameter flow cytometry assays for: phenotyping, ICS analysis, dye-based cell proliferation assays, cytokine secretion quantitation by multiplex assays, cytotoxicity assays.

·    Very strong flow cytometry skills (method and acquisition optimization, adept at data analysis using FlowJo). Experience in training and mentoring others in flow-based techniques is a plus.

·    Working knowledge of genome editing and gene modulation techniques (ZFNs), deep sequencing techniques and/or AAV vector design is preferred

·    Experience in planning and execution of animal studies is preferred.



 ·    Independently motivated, curious and experienced in delivering on highly technical projects within timelines.

·    Ability to collaborate across teams with the goal to achieve results and drive progress

·    Exceptional communication and data presentation skills

·    Demonstrated ability to lead, train and mentor research associates
