You’ve probably read about Google’s forays into biology through Google X and the spinoff Google Life Sciences (renamed Verily). Now, for the first time, Verily is opening its doors! The PIEP committee is happy to announce its first site visit of 2017:

Verily (formerly Google Life Sciences) is developing tools to collect and organize health data, then creating interventions and platforms that put insights derived from that health data to use for more holistic care management. Current projects include a contact lens that senses glucose, an anti-tremor spoon, and the Baseline Study, a project to collect genetic and molecular information from enough people to create a picture of what a healthy human should be
